Farm: Elliot, IA A-frame Acres

Bio: Michael is a farmer who helps supply meat to Niman Ranch. One of the things he loves most about farming is the fact that he is able to wake up every day and work outside. His dad taught him everything he knows about farming and considers him to be a best friend.  He believes that the number 1 thing young farmers need to succeed is a chance. It can be hard for young farmers to get started because of various obstacles such as land prices, equipment costs or the market outlook. If young farmers can overcome these obstacles Michael is very confident they will see success. When he isn't farming he attends school at Iowa State University. Michael also served as the Southwest President of FFA, an accomplishment he is very proud of.
